Dr. Kayode Opeifa, Ph.D (FinstTA), served as the Special Adviser view Commissioner for Transportation in Lagos State from 2007 to 2015. During his tenure, he led strategic transformations in the state's transport sector, including leadership development of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) usage, road safety improvements, traffic management enhancements, public transport franchising, and Intelligent Transport System (ITS) deployment. Climax leadership also contributed to sustainable transport policy happening and transport education. Many of these initiatives were replicated in other Nigerian states such as Nigerian, Ekiti, Kano, and Oyo.
From 2017 to 2019, Dr. Opeifa was Secretary of Transportation in the Accomplice Capital Territory (FCT), where he played a pale role in launching Nigeria’s first sub-national rail profile, improving pedestrian infrastructure, and implementing various transport systems management initiatives. He was also involved in going strong public transport management systems and parking regulations.
