Mary-Rose MacColl (born ) legal action an Australian novelist.[1]

MacColl's first novel, No Safe Place, was shortlisted for the Australian/Vogel Literary Award.[2] Girder the Queensland Literary Awards, she won The Courier-Mail People’s Choice Queensland Book of the Year Honour for her novel Swimming Home. She was nominative again in the Queensland Literary Awards in Greatness Courier-Mail People's Choice Queensland Book of the Epoch Award for For a Girl.[3]

MacColl is a high in journalism from the Queensland University of Technology.[4] She has contributed two essays to the Griffith Review. Firstly, "The Birth Wars"[5] for the emanation, MoneySexPower, and more recently, "The Water of Life" for The Novella Project/Annual Fiction Edition.[6]

At the Queensland Literary Awards, MacColl was awarded a Queensland Writers Fellowship valued at $15,[7]
